I Want To Play

Now this was a bit of a slap in the face. As much as I want to get my freak on as much as this guy, since I completely understand the motivation...

...is this really what my life is destined for?

Focus. Must Focus.

Peace,
Simon

I was just wondering if your 'coming out' was an inevitable event or if you really were working on working diligently for your family rather than for yourself. Either way, the best time is now.

I guess you're kind of at a fork in the road. There are several different directions your life could go from here. You could keep going straight (haha...I'm punny), or you could explore other options. It seems like you're leaning towards exploring at least a little bit, since you started reading gay blogs, and even started one of your own.

There's nothing wrong with what you're feeling--just remember that actions have consequences. Reading Johnman's ID, I sometimes wonder if he's doing things in the hope of being caught.

Anyway, I enjoy your writing--and think your experiences are interesting. I started coming out when I was 18 (I'm almost 30 now), so it's interesting to peek into the life of someone who made a different decision.

SS--
Not all interactions are like that. Don't put the cart before the horse, my friend.

Society tells gay people that their lives and encounters are all going to be like that. Young gays grow up thinking that they are dirty and end up acting out the ridiculous stereotype. Don't think that's going to be you. As the friend of several wonderful, adult, responsible gay men I can tell you it can be as beautiful and pure as any hetero relationship. I just started reading this today, but I'm committed to praying for you and your family. Good luck.
