That's absolutely gorgeous Simon! I do hope that you were serious when you said you were considering selling prints? (cause you got a buyer on this one my friend)

Is Van Gogh an influence for you? Just curious.

I like the kinetics of it. Strong motion between the subjects with the cyclonic motion of the background to give it some context. I especially like the use of warm and dark colors. While the title insinuates a more sinister intent on your part, I actually get more of a parental energy from it. Curious, that.

I'd have to agree with Larry. Definitely not a sinister-feeling with that painting, other than the dark background.

Makes me think of a kid chasing fireflies in the backyard.

While I not an art critic or a phycholigist and ive never played one online, so here we go.
Last posts no words but a world of artistic expression. The Blue is fantastic. Blue is the longest wave length of refracted light, be it in the sky or the ocean. Blues is also cold. The soule of the Adult figuer is Cold and the childs is warm. There soules are circles never ending like the seasons. Not only do the Adults warm hand reach for the child, it also has cold hands reaching from its soul for the child.
The child is surrendering in a battle of the heart. Hands in the air is universal for i give up.
If this is symbolic for a battle for the Monkeys, hearts, minds and souls beware of the dangers of salvos you fire with your Hands, heart or mouth.
In battles evil wins when you play on its own levels of frequency. The extreams of Red Hot hate or Blue Cold manulapation. Evil hasnt a chance aginst a warm heart and soul of compassion and forgiveness.

You have an amazing ability with color. While we see color, peoples emotions are Black and White. Like light and pigment, Black can only be seen and determined by the absence of light or the presence of all pigment. White can only seen by the presence of all light and The absence of all pigment. Break down the barriers using a prism or palette as your only wepons for avoiding escaleting a battle into war.
