As a kid I always used to pretend I had a pen that could paint with light and make gigantic creations out of thin air. Who knew I'd actually do it someday.

One of my instructors in college once told me that the works of art she admired the most are ones that screamed at you from afar and whispers when you get up close. That's been one criteria I use to evaluate images, especially "paintings" that I come across.
Whether you paint with oil or light, your images here definitely has that quality. It screams at you from afar and whispers when you get up close - or in this case, enlarge the image.
What are you using to sketch with? Paints? Markers? Computer? They are vibrant and extremely compelling...would love to know
absolutely love it!
All the sketches done here are done on the computer. But for all it's worth, even with paint and pencil I love to punch up the vibrant side in all my art.
It's kinda what I meant about wanting to be able to paint with light, it just happens to be the digital light on the monitor. And I do use a tablet and stylus.
Marvelously magical!
Beautiful! Love the layers! Might others feature your "sketches" on their website (with proper credit, of course)?
hey,
your drawing reminded me of a time in school when I was asked to draw an angry dog and had no idea how to do it! it is all emotion and movement. it took me some amount of time to understand it. At the time I figured angry dog meant angry me and it was quite a stretch getting over that hump. I guess the long and the short of it is, emotional art will appear whether we want to or not, but as long as it is honest...thats really all we can ask.
p.s. i would love to be part of your blog survey. I am quite the bad blogger but friends are kind enough to harrass me back to it.
cheers!
