Stand Tall, Stand Proud..But Not In Public

This is apparently how we celebrate diversity and gay pride in my neighborhood.

"Pride", especially when it comes to sexual identity, isn't for everyone. Some of us choose to lead a quiet, unassuming life in private. It's not unhealthy, just a choice.

...and I'll take the chance to contradict one of the commenters here by saying that the old ActUp slogan is hardly fitting in this day and age.

One day I hope the attempt to educate people about their fellow human beings won't be considered offensive. God forbid someone might learn something, thus removing harmful prejudices!

It really is quite sickening.
