I keep stepping in sticky blue goo on my carpet. It's also kind of masochistic to read Dr. Seuss, therefore I must release my frustration in verse: Fox in Socks (click to listen)
That was awesome! I was pretty impressed at how well you could read it but then I got to the bloopers. I love bloopers. You definitely have to save this for the monkeys to listen to some day.
Oh no! I have opened a whole big can of worms. I let me sons listen to it and they LOVE it especially the bloppers. They have been playing it non-stop since last night. Sorry SS!
You don't know what memories you just brought back. As a child I would make any unsuspecting adult read this book to me.
To this day I will say (apparently incorrectly) "tweedle beatle puddle paddle in a bottle on a noodle eating poodle battle" for no reason except it brings me joy.
You have a fantastic voice, how about "Green eggs and Ham?"
Hi Simon and you other readers, I loved your reading of the Fox in Socks and the giggling added to the enjoyment. I think our glorious leaders should have to listen to it too. It would bring them back down to earth and perhaps the Monkeys would teach them a thing or two.
Love your blog Simon. We seem to share a lot of common beliefs and thoughts. On religion while I appreciate your cynicism I wonder how the creatures and plants came to be and that is what sets me thinking there is someone or something out there that masterminded it all. Just my thougts and no offence intended to anyone reading this comment.

I loved this, especially the bloopers. You should read to the monkeys one evening and record it.
Ah, Fox in socks. Perhaps you and the monkeys can do a rendition of Hop on Pop.
Thanks. You've helped me have a good day. I'll not take too much too seriously today.
I don't know what disturbs me more...
That I had an instictive need to cuddle listening to you read (in a totally child-like way), or...
Some of that had a totally sexual subtext between all the banging going on and chicks and hoes. My god it was "Late Night on the Stretcorner"!
You are such a great orator. Seriously, you could do audio books. Especially when you lose it and start giggling :)
Your kids are the luckiest kids on Earth :)
Thanks much everybody. Maybe I'll read some more...

Sharon: Hahaha! Maybe I'm the one who should say I'm sorry... I'm glad they enjooy it. :)
